👉 Fidelity Investments Enable BTC Investment Via 401k Accounts

Asset management giant Fidelity Investments plans to allow clients to add a Bitcoin account to their 401k, as soon as summer of this year.

The feature would enable clients to allocate as much as 20% of their portfolios to Bitcoin, with management fees of 0.75% to 0.90% – plus an undisclosed additional fee. Fidelity is also open to supporting additional cryptocurrencies in the future.

Ethereum investment products have experienced a net capital outflow over the last week, as institutional investment shifts its focus to competing Layer-1 blockchains.

Outflows from Ethereum products totalled $16.9 million, while Avalanche (AVAX), Solana (SOL), Terra (LUNA) and Algorand (ALGO) investment products saw a combined inflow of $3.5 million.

Alleged Crypto Capital Corp. operator, Reginald Fowler, has pleaded guilty to charges of bank fraud, wire fraud and conspiracy. Fowler was initially arrested in April 2019 and withdrew an initial offer of a single guilty plea, after facing having to repay $400 million.

Crypto Capital Corp. was the shadow bank that lost hundreds of millions of money owned by Bitfinex, one of the leading cryptocurrency exchanges at the time.
